Disneybound of the Week 4: Minnie Mouse

This week, I wanted to do a classic, Minnie Mouse. Minnie Mouse has always been one of my favorite characters, and I love paying homage to the queen of fashion whenever I can. Pull out your bows and polka dots, and enjoy this fun Disneybound with me!

For this Minnie Mouse Disneybound, I wanted to go with a 1940's vibe. Minnie's colors are pretty easy to incorporate into everyday attire. For a Minnie color palette, feature lots of black and red, white, and some yellow accents. I chose to skip the yellow simply because I don't actually own anything yellow. I tend to not look good in yellow, so I don't purchase it. I am working on finding a good, dark, golden yellow that I can wear for future Disneybounds. Anyway, back to this bound. I wore a vintage-inspired black dress with white polka dots, black pumps, and red jewelry. I also wore classic Minnie ears in some of the photos, and a red beret in the other photos. For my makeup, I went classic and chic with neutral tones, black winged eyeliner, and a red lip. This outfit screamed vintage and Minnie. I actually got lots of compliments on the look throughout the day. The idea for beret came from some French Minnie merchandise that Disney used to sell in the France pavilion in EPCOT years ago. Her outfit was similar to this one, and I wanted to emulate that as much as possible in the photos. I think I pulled it off.

If you would like to see more pictures from this Disneybound, be sure to check out my Instagram. I post more photos there than I did here. What was your favorite styling for Minnie Mouse? Let me know in the comments!
