For this week's Disneybound, I wanted to do a character that wasn't a princess. So, I decided to do the sassy, inquisitive, and adorable pixie fairy Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell is a character that I have always loved. I kind of had to, since my brother and cousin both loved Peter Pan, so when we played I always was Tinkerbell. We even dressed up for Halloween one year as characters from the film. My cousin was Peter Pan, my brother was Captain Hook (he was really into pirates at the time), and I was Tinkerbell. I think I still have the costume around here somewhere. Anyway, I decided to lean back into my Tinkerbell days, and see what I could do with her character today as a Disneybound,
Tinkerbell's colors are shades of green with yellow and gold accents. I chose to wear my green dress, which I found several years ago at Ross. I didn't have green ballet flats, so I wore my nude flats with the gold buckle on them. I also wore my hair in a high bun, and tied a green ribbon around it. For my jewelry, I kept it simple with gold pixie dust earrings and a gold charm bracelet. I found the earrings last year at Walt Disney World, and I made the bracelet with charms that I found at Hobby Lobby. I chose a charm bracelet because I felt that it seemed appropriate for Tinkerbell's inquisitive and tinkering nature. She is always collecting random items, so I thought that she would really like a charm bracelet. For my makeup, I went totally different from my usual look. I wore a dewy, glowing foundation, with little powder, a light blush, lots of highlighter, glittery gold eyeshadow I could find, gold eyeliner, lots of mascara, and a pale pink shimmery lip gloss. My goal was to look as fairy-like as possible. I think I succeeded. What do you think? Do you like the look?
